As we age, we are likely to experience Arthritis. How we deal with it is another matter. This class will teach you about the yoga principles of movement to created greater strength in the muscles that support the joints and therefore improve joint function…..translated to daily living skills….and how to practice relaxation. Of course, no yoga class would be complete without the practice of breathing. Remember all breathing is not alike. So, come and learn the proper breathing techniques for you.
This 4 week series. Each class will be held 1x a week for 75 min. We will learn how to move in a way using proper body and joint mechanics to prevent further damage as well as stretching, strengthening and relaxation.
It is necessary to come to the first class in person and meet the teacher and your classmates. You will also be asked to fill in a brief intake so the class can be tailored to your needs.
Classes will be held on Mondays 1:00 pm – 2:15pm
Class dates:
January 24th and 31st , and February 7th and 14th.
Class Fee: $85.00
